sponsoring health and safety Forums for parents to attend
with their students.

Stay in the Loop at SL Arts
SL Arts's Parent Link is an e-mail group that reaches most of our parents. It is a great tool for distributing school-wide information, building a parent/school community, soliciting volunteers and sharing regular updates from our principal. Get Involved with the Parent Leadership Association
The goal of the Parent Leadership Association
or PLA, is to keep parents informed about and involved in
what is happening at the SL Arts. There are four major components
to the PLA
- the School Support Network which provides
classroom support for students and teachers, supports
parent teacher conferences and helps with administrative
efforts such as the Ski Program and data entry.
- the Communications Committee which
produces the SL Arts newsletters, supports community outreach
and updates the SL Arts web site.
- the Activities Committee which conducts
and coordinates school events such as the Back to School
BBQ and the Spring Salon
- the Safety Committee which identifies safety concerns
and develops plans for emergencies as well as daily safety.
PLA meetings are held the first Wednesday
of the month at 11:00 a.m. at the Salt Lake Arts Academy.
